Representatives of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia to meet Tbilisi under umbrella of International Organization for Migration

Baku, October 6, 2001. (CNA). On October 24-25 the International Organization for Migration (IOM) will conduct in Tbilisi the second meeting with the representatives of Armenia, Georgia and Armenia. The meeting is dedicated to the regulation of the migration processes, preventing illegal migration from the Southern Caucasus to the European states, providing assistance to the migrants who returned their homeland. The participants of the meeting will discuss results of the activity after the first meeting in February of 2001, in Tbilisi, as well as the projects of IOM representations in Baku on reintegration of migrants and providing information to those citizens who are trying to move to the European states illegally. The first deputy minister of labor Ilgar Ragimov will head the Azerbaijani delegation with representatives from labors, foreign affairs, national security, and interior affairs ministries.
